OUR STORY
The Natural Health Center started in 1992 as Nitschke Chiropractic. Over a period of eight years, additional postgraduate studies introduced many alternative and effective techniques that drove an evolution into what we are today.
MISSION STATEMENT
To assist everyone and anyone desiring an optimum state of health through natural and/or alternative health care, to avoid the negative side effects of prescription drugs and surgery.
Years ago, chiropractic adjustment could and did remove interference to health. It also resulted in many miraculous healings. In today’s modern times there are more reasons to experience stress. Stresses from the daily pace of life, stress at work and an increasingly toxic environment. Nutritionally deficient foods due to depleted soils, pesticides, herbicides, hormones and antibiotics combine to contaminate our bodies, minds and spirits. Super virus and bacteria that never existed years ago have been cultured and created due to this constant onslaught of “better life through chemistry” mindset of today. “Better for us.” usually translates into “better for the producer,” by lowering processing costs but decreasing the nutritional value of the product. We are all led to believe that there is a chemical concoction or pill for every illness or condition. Both the medical community and the people [That’s most of us!] who are exposed to today’s advertising are becoming brainwashed by pharmaceutical companies or their local representatives.
When fast foods started years back, businesses like McDonalds or Pizza Hut or Burger King and many others never intended to effectively poison their customers with the chemicalized nutrient deficient, hormone and antibiotic laden “stuff” [Can’t call it food!] that competition and the “need for speed” and convenience has produced. Over 80% of Americans are overweight as a result of eating the Standard American Diet (SAD); and it certainly is sad!
Natural Health Center’s primary focus has become nutrition and detoxification. Our Balancing Hormones Naturally seminars address these problems. We also recognize the link of health problems to emotions. Natural Health Center has effective and uniquely different procedures to address symptoms and complaints; evaluating each case to determine underlying causes. Symptoms are signals that something is not working; but just turning off symptoms as prescriptions do, does not correct the problem. Meet the Staff
Dr. Lon H Nitschke
Dr. Lon became a chiropractic physician in the spring of 1992 after completing the required course of studies and licensing requirements required by government rules and regulations. He started his schooling as a result of personal experience while pursuing relief from his own chronic back pain. Dr. Lon was also at this time researching potential career choices for his son Mark and was so interested and excited by the natural health advantages of the chiropractic field that both he and his son embarked on careers in the field of chiropractic. After father and son jointly completed their chiropractic educations, they both went their separate ways. Dr. Lon opened his Woodville clinic in July of 1992 after a few months of practice in his hometown of Fremont, Ohio. Prior to opening his chiropractic clinic Dr. Lon had previously been doing several years of work in the field of hypnosis. Since the natural healing benefits dovetailed well with chiropractic philosophies, he also continued to provide hypnosis treatments on interested patients mostly for weight control issues.
Over the past several years, chiropractic evolved and changed to keep pace with our modern times. Another clinic was established in Findlay, Ohio that is limited to health education seminars, nutrition and Migun® thermal massage. Dr, Lon now does more instrument adjusting and has limited his chiropractic practice to the clinic in Woodville. A low force instrument can apply a gentle and very specific adjustment. Most patients actually prefer KST to the older style of “rack & crack ‘em” that is commonly known to those that are familiar with chiropractic adjustment techniques of the past.
Energy therapies that have their basis in acupuncture meridians coupled with kinesiology, aka: muscle testing, constitute most of the treatments now administered by Dr. Lon. Such testing determines nutritional deficiencies associated with SAD and modern farming and food processing for commercial groceries. Also the presence, identification and source of toxins and allergens are determined using muscle testing techniques. The most effective therapies and recommendations can then be implemented. Nichole Nitschke, PCC
Nichole Nitschke is an independently licensed professional clinical counselor, a trained hypnotherapist, and a member of the American Counseling Association. She received her master’s degree in counseling at Bowling Green State University, and studied mind/body psychology at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Tempe, Arizona. She also worked at Firelands Counseling and Recovery Services providing drug and alcohol counseling and mental health therapy to children, adolescents and adults. With over seven years of utilizing hypnotherapy and thousands of hours of clinical experience along with over ten years in the mental health field she has developed the skills and knowledge to be a highly effective therapist.
Nichole incorporates mental health counseling with several different types of proven alternative healing techniques including hypnosis, applied kinesiology, mind/body psychology and Reiki. This blend of traditional counseling and healing arts brings together the conscious and the subconscious and the mind and body.
Nichole has the passion to assist each client with achieving any goal, whether it be kicking a dysfunctional habit or reaching their full potential. She believes strongly in treating the whole person balancing mind, body and spirit.
Tracy Harrison, CNHP
Tracy Harrison is the Woodville office anchorperson for almost all messages, scheduling, seminar setups and other office related goings on as it were. Tracy is a Certified Nutritional Health Professional (CNHP) and is knowledgeable regarding nutritional supplements such as vitamins, minerals and other health optimization substances. She keeps stock supplies at optimum levels to support NHC clients to assure that if you need regular vitamin or mineral supplements, they will be on hand when you need them. The brands of supplements we carry are all top grade name brands such as Standard Process® cold processed natural vitamins and minerals. Other items include Fish Oil and Fiji® certified organic coconut body oils in Fragrance Free, Cucumber Melon or Lavender, or smooth on some Pineapple Coconut, close your eyes, and breathe in the Caribbean! She also can help you in finding, buying and establishing excellent water and air purification systems for your home and/or office environments. Tracy is also a terrific source for natural soap products, and a variety of other fine personal products.
